The designer didn't share many details about her upcoming line, except that it includes at least one pair of unisex sneakers.

In the spirit of Coachella, Victoria Beckham spent a West Hollywood Thursday evening hanging out on Shaquille O'Neal's shoulders, doing a slam dunk as the California sun set.
This is not a metaphor. In a hypothetical pop culture trivia, the only correlation between Beckham and Reebok — or Beckham and O'Neal, if you really had to think — is their popularity in the '90s. Back then, Beckham was known primarily as Posh Spice; O'Neal was an all-star Los Angeles Laker; and Reebok was, as is still is, a sneaker maker sitting at the intersection of pro sports, fashion and culture. The unlikely pair (and recent collaborators) met in person for the first time to celebrate at a Reebok event celebrating Beckham joining the Reebok family, one Shaq has been a loyal member of for over twenty years.
The former Spice Girl and current fashion mogul is known for her classically feminine looks with a slight edge — think leather pants and towering heels — as well as her tiny, waif-like frame. She has partnered with the Reebok team to debut a line of athletic wear with an emphasis on technicality; the designer repeated the phrase "technical workout clothing" several times as she drove home her focus on simple, flattering silhouettes, nothing too complicated, and high performance fabrics and cuts. A true athlete's workout look, not a Fairfax sweatsuit to stunt on the 'Gram in.

We still don't know much about the line, due to release sometime towards the end of 2018, except that it includes at least one pair of unisex sneakers, or "trainers," as Victoria still calls them. Joined by longtime Reebok ambassador Shaq, the '90s icons riffed on their favorite era and how it inspired a small capsule of merch, which includes a T-shirt with Shaq's silhouette and comes in black and white. Beckham reminisced about Fashion Week and her affinity for the perfect white T-shirt — so much so that she has to make her own.
Reminding us several times that she works out every day (we get it Posh, we can tell), Beckham didn't appear to intend for her line to be all about street style, but she isn't here to judge. In fact, she made it a point to mention that all of the pieces in her collaboration are unisex.
When asked about a '90s trend she'd never revisit, she had plenty list, ranging from acid wash jeans to shell suits to over-plucked eyebrows, which feel miles away compared to the constantly resurfacing spaghetti straps, sneakers and "Clueless"-inspired looks. Maybe even a hint of "Spice World," if you will.
"Even the bad stuff makes you smile, it takes you back to a time when music was good, everything was good, that's why I'm so excited to work with Reebok," Beckham said. On the other hand, Shaq was busy paying tribute to '90s legends like Boy George and other "white boy classics" like "The Lost Boys."
In our world of Instagram endorsements, it's refreshing to see two OGs together — even if all there is to show for it (for now) is a well-fitting T-shirt and a promise of upcoming sneakers.
